The project will take the form of a scientific investigation where the student/s design and carry out an experiment related to a soil science topic (see suggested projects).

The final report must be written and submitted as a standard scientific investigation with introduction, aim, methods, results, discussion and conclusions (maximum total length 4 x A4 pages). In addition to the written report, entrants will need to submit a poster (in the form of one power point slide) summarising the project.

Competition Levels

The School Soil Science Awards program has four entry levels.

Young Children - Prep through to Grade 3 inclusive
Juniors  - Grade 4 through Grade 7 inclusive
Intermediate - Grade 8 through to Grade 10 inclusive
Senior - Grades 11 and 12
